for Communication and the Alliance for Better Campaigns joined to monitor
television news coverage of the 1998 gubernatorial race in California.
Out of the 7,668 hours of local news coverage monitored, a total of 34
hours and 36 minutes and 7 seconds contained information about the gubernatorial
race. This figure represents .45% of the total amount of news time.
